Completion of a Community House
The focus of our assistance in Tonj, South-Sudan was initially in the construction of a community house for the inhabitants. This building was completed in early 2015. Material transport, in this country plagued by civil war, presented particular difficulties during the construction period.
The building provides protection from wind and weather and serves as a gathering place for the inhabitants of Tonj and the surrounding villages. Additionally, it is used for school lessons for children and can also be used as a place of worship.
